Winter is around the corner, and we are helping our clients beat the cold by offering the following services:

Winserts

Lower heat loss through your windows and prevent ice build-up and sill rot with these simple, low-cost, reusable, transparent thermal panes, custom-built and fitted to each window.  Winserts are basically two sheets of high-quality shrinkwrap plastic fitted over a wooden frame.  They fit snuggly into your window frame, and add two additional insulating air spaces between the inside of the window and the room.  May cut down on heat loss by as much as 50%.  Prices starting at $6/sq. ft.

Insulation and Attic Venting

The prevention of ice dams starts with keeping heat away from the underside of your roof.  This involves careful air sealing and properly installed and adequate insulation.  We can assess the sources of heat build-up in the attic, and offer a range of solutions for keeping the attic cool.  We can then implement whichever strategy you choose with our team of carpenters and insulation specialists.

Triage for Leaky Roofs

Keep your pots and pans for cooking!  We have a number of different strategies for temporarily sealing up leaky roofs until a more permanent solution can be implemented in the spring.
